The Platform Product Manager Role

As a Platform Product Manager, you own the strategy, vision, and roadmap for components and capabilities spanning across Qlik Cloud, supporting the work of multiple consumer-facing products in the Qlik product portfolio. You engage with customers, partners, and fellow product managers to understand the pain points they have solving data integration and analytics problems across the platform. Close collaboration with R&D, Product Design, and go-to-market teams is essential to deliver solutions that create sustainable value for Qlik’s customers.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Combining deep technical skills with business-line experience to articulate clearly to engineering architects, product designers, and product managers the supporting foundational investments required to deliver a world-class cloud platform.
• Owning the strategy, vision, and roadmap for horizontal domains that cut across the Qlik platform such as, cloud infrastructure and architecture, authentication and access control, tenant manageability, billing and entitlement, backend system integration, API governance, usage data and telemetry, self-service supportability, platform extensibility and ecosystem, and consistent user experience across the platform and business unit products.
• Quarterbacking the end-to-end product development lifecycle from market research, validation, vision, proposal, acceptance criteria, prioritization, monetization, delivery, measurement, iteration, and go-to-market of platform capabilities with direct customer impact.
• Collaborating with product managers and leadership across Qlik’s business units (BU) to understand the capabilities they need to achieve their objectives across several key metrics including ARR, NRR, Customer Satisfaction (CSAT), and Net Promoter Score (NPS.)
• Identifying synergies across the product portfolio and collaborating with business unit product and development teams to consolidate roadmap investments that drive cost efficiencies and maximize joint product revenue opportunities.
• Supporting compliance and security go-to-market initiatives ensuring the platform maintains accreditations.
• Maintaining a prioritized backlog of problems to solve that benefit the entire Qlik platform, communicating progress regularly through roadmap sessions with internal stakeholders, customers, and partners.
• Evangelizing Qlik’s platform strategy through internal enablement, content creation, customer meetings, analyst briefings, feedback sessions, industry events, and speaking opportunities.

Skills and qualifications for this role include:

• Degree in Management Information Systems or Computer Sciences, is preferred;
• A strong background in integration platforms and API development preferred. Additional background in data management, data integration, and/or data analytics is a plus.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience managing complex enterprise software. portfolios and developing and delivering on measurable goals.
• Relevant product management experience, including managing product portfolios.
• Experience working with and managing geographically distributed teams.
• A big-picture perspective with a passion for success and willingness to dive into the details necessary to achieve it.
• Experience with AWS ecosystem. Other Cloud provider is a plus
• Experience in bringing SaaS solutions to market is desirable.
• Experience in scrum-based Agile development methodology.
• Experience working alongside R&D and other teams to deliver products, including working directly with teams comprised of a variety of skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation and collaboration skills.
• Clear, written descriptions for business and technical audiences.
• Ability to get agreement on objectives, priorities, and timelines and manage to successful delivery.
• Ability to resolve conflicts and quality issues professionally and effectively.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $CAD $98,300 - $130,800 per year. Final compensation offered by Qlik will be based on factors such as the candidate’s location, job-related skills, education, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
