Our client is looking for candidates for the below position.
Position : Fire Alarm Service Technician
workplace type is onsite. Full-time
Location : Boston, MA
We are a well-established family-based company in business for over 30 years and have been growing rapidly. You'll be guaranteed 40 hours a week with ample opportunity to work overtime as desired.
Candidate's hourly pay scale dependent upon experience and aptitude for the role and will include limited health insurance, gas card, truck, etc.

Responsibilities :
- Service, repair, and maintain a multitude of different brands of fire alarm panels.
- Troubleshoot systems and provide on-site solutions for system deficiencies.
- Communicate system deficiencies / resolutions with office staff, management staff, and other technicians.
- Occasionally conduct inspections of alarm systems to identify any issues or potential problems in accordance with NFPA 72 and applicable standards.
- Occasionally provide assistance in installing new alarm systems, including wiring and connecting devices, ensuring that all components meet NEC, NFPA 72, and local standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams to understand system layouts and requirements.
- Use hand tools and specialized equipment, such as a multimeter, to test and diagnose fire alarm systems.
- Conduct system shutdowns for maintenance of integrated life safety systems
- Provide exceptional customer service, communicating effectively with clients to address their concerns and needs.
- Work remotely and independently to accomplish system service resolving system impairments.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure that alarm systems are functioning properly and meeting safety standards.
Qualifications :
A strong background in fire alarm system service and installation, with experience in system inspections or system programming.
Ideal candidate will have been in the fire alarm industry for 4 years.
- A valid MA Systems Technician "D" electrical license or "B" Journeyman Electrician's License preferred. Apprentices will be considered based upon experience in the industry and ability to attain licensure in expedited timeline.
- A Valid Drivers License with ability to pass a background CORI Check
- Knowledge of NEC codes, NFPA 72, and regulations.
- Proficiency with hand tools and specialized equipment, including a multimeter.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with fire alarm system functionalities, system integrations, applications, and other life safety equipment.
- Ability to lift and maneuver equipment and tools, as needed.
- Ability to travel throughout MA during normal working hours. Primary job site locations will be in Boston MA
