QOROS Cardiovascular is seeking a Medical Assistant for a full - time opportunity located in Webster, TX. Compensation is negotiable based on experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Perform and record vital signs
- Room patients, obtain medical, family and social history etc.
- Perform EKG and other diagnostic testing (stress test, hook up monitors etc.)
- Schedule and confirm diagnostic testing, procedures at the office and OBL/ASC/Hospital settings.
- Copy, fax and scan medical records
- Upload patient produced medical records (BP/Blood sugar readings, etc.) into the chart and name appropriately for identification by reviewers of the EMR.
- Effectively communicate in a pleasant manner with patients, visitors, physicians team members, office team members and referring physicians
- Transcribe and record voice mail messages and complete necessary actions to resolve what is needed. VM will be checked several times daily and calls returned to patients each clinic day.
- Other duties as assigned by provider and management.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 2 years’ Medical Assistant experience working in a high-volume Cardiology or General Internal Medicine setting.
- EMR experience required: eClinicalWorks preferred. Epic or Athenahealth may be considered.
- Understanding of and compliance with HIPAA privacy and HI-Tech regulations.
- Collaborative team-oriented background. Experience with Agile preferred.
- Exceptional customer service – oriented attitude
- Must be self-motivated, well - organized and possess the ability to work well under pressure.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
