Overview
The IT Support Specialist is responsible for interacting with our user community and help provide and deliver support and solutions. As a member of the IT Operations Team and first level support, good communication and follow-up will be crucial to ensure that our employees are taken care of in a quick, efficient, and professional manner. This position is also responsible for IT Purchasing and working with IT vendors and suppliers.
Base Salary Range 50,000-72,000
The above reflects the pay range that QSC reasonably expects to pay for this role. This pay range also depends on various factors such as job duties and requirements, relevant experience and skills and geographic location. In addition to the base salary range, QSC offers a comprehensive package including but not limited to health benefits, 401K or Roth retirement plans, generous time off and profit sharing
Responsibilities
- Serve as 1st Level Support for IT Service Desk, while reviewing and routing Service Desk tickets. Communicate and follow-up with end users.
- IT Purchasing and Vendor/Supplier Management
- Provide on-going training and on-boarding to employees
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree or High School Diploma with at least 3 years of working in an IT Support environmentComputer/IT related certifications a plus
Experience
- Knowledgeable with providing support for IT software, hardware, and networking.
- User provisioning and management in Active Directory and O365
- Knowledgeable with ITIL/ITSM Service Desk methodology
- IT Purchasing and Procurement using Oracle E-Business Suite
- Setting up and working with IT Vendors and Suppliers
- Familiar with door access and security systems
- Experience with training and educating employees and end users on IT solutions
Knowledge and Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analysis, troubleshooting, and problem solving
- Ability to organize, inventory, and maintain work areas for accuracy and efficiency.
- Proficient with building, installing and supporting computers, servers, mobile devices, networking, and enterprise software/applications
- Have patience and help employees and end users understand technical or complex topics
- Be friendly and approachable to build stronger connections with our user community
- Familiar with online collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom as well as meeting room equipment.
