Position: Director/Manager, Hospitality and Catering
Reports To: Food and Beverage Director and General Manager
Summary: The Director/Manager, Hospitality and Catering will oversee and ensure successful picnics, special events and suite orders for all baseball and non-baseball events.
Major Job Duties Include but are not Limited to:
Oversee and ensure successful picnics, special events and suite orders for all River Bandits home games and special events. Director/Manager title to be determined based on experience.
· Oversee and ensure Fan/Guest Satisfaction and Experience through delivering a remarkable experience.
· Consult with Director of F&B, Sales Team, Special Events Department & Chef to plan and determine event requirements, including number of guests, picnic/event location and menu.
· Oversee preparation of the venue for the picnic to ensure correct set up and cleanliness.
· Sets up and arranges tables and chairs, serving stations, lines, tableware, serve ware, and silverware.
· Ensure the venue is clean and that food is handled in a sanitary manner.
· Address problems or complaints concerning food or services provided.
· As required, may assist with scheduling and planning of other aspects of the event, including set up, detail meetings, etc.
· Hire, train, supervise, and schedule catering staff.
· Ensure that members of the catering staff interact with fans/guests in a courteous and professional manner.
· Perform other related duties as required.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Extensive knowledge of event planning and catering requirements.
· Ability to work with clients to determine and anticipate needs of the event.
· Excellent managerial and supervisory skills.
· Ability to work at a fast pace.
· Extensive knowledge of food hygiene.
Education and Experience:
· Two to five years of experience in food service required.
· Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management, Business Management, Food Management, or related field preferred.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of standing.
· Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time.
· Ability to remain calm under pressure and deal with unexpected situations.
