The National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) is the voice of the $130 Billion electrical construction industry in the nation. NECA members are the industry’s premier electrical contractors who bring power, lighting, and communications all across the United States. The Quad cities NECA chapter is 1 of 119 chapters across the United States. Our association’s purpose is to represent the best interest of the Union electrical contractors in the Quad Cities area and to promote the advancement and success of the Union electrical construction industry.

We are currently looking to hire a part- time Administrative Assistant for our office in Bettendorf, Iowa.
Work Hours/Wage:
- Administrative Assistant will work 25 hours a week from 9:00AM-2:00PM, Monday- Friday. (May occasionally be requested to work additional hours).
- $17-$20hr Depending on previous experience.
NECA Duties:
- Oversee Union Electrical Contractor hours and contributions manually and manage electronic payroll reports.
- Maintain multiple spreadsheets on a monthly basis with deadlines in place.
- Maintain checking and investment accounts. Including monthly reconciliations of multiple accounts with accuracy.
- Create monthly Board and Membership Meeting packets and files for annual audits.
- Update Quad Cities NECA Website monthly.
- Assist in annual budget and maintain ongoing financial statements.
- Schedule meetings, coordinate travel arrangements and coordinate event arrangements.
- Manage typical day to day office duties: filing and organizing, communications (answering phones, emails etc...), assisting and attending to electrical contractors.
LMCC Duties:
- Market the electrical contractors and electrical industry.
- Maintain Facebook & social media.
- Maintain Lightingtheqca website.
Requirements:
- Must have strong experience in using MS Office programs such as, MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and QuickBooks.
- Must be an organized individual and extremely detail oriented and have the ability to meet deadlines.
- Must be someone who likes to problem solve and enjoys mathematical challenges.
- Must be a strong communicator who can respond well to authority.
- Must be willing to work independently with little direction and have a self-starter attitude.
- Pass Pre-employment, background, and random drug testing.
- Prefer someone who can start within 2 weeks.
