GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
The Business Analyst at Quad will play a crucial role in analyzing data from various sources to generate insights that inform our retail media strategies. This individual will be responsible for transforming complex data into understandable results, supporting decision-making processes, and contributing to the effectiveness of our retail campaigns.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Data Management
- Influence design and coordinate with IT partners to implement and maintain databases and data systems necessary for projects and department functions.
- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of data through regular cleaning and validation processes.
- Collaborate with IT department to develop automated data retrieval and reporting systems.
- Analysis and Reporting
- Perform complex data analysis on large datasets to identify trends, correlations, and patterns that can influence strategic decisions.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that provide insights into key performance indicators (KPIs), customer behavior, and market trends.
- Utilize advanced statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms to predict future trends and behaviors.
- Present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through clear visualizations and actionable insights.
- Collaboration
- Act as a liaison between the clients, sales, and IT departments to ensure data needs are met and insights are integrated into all facets of the business.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to address business challenges and identify opportunities for improvement through data analysis.
- Support marketing and sales in understanding data and analytics, helping them to use data-driven insights in their strategies.
- Innovation
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in data analysis, tools, and technologies.
- Recommend and implement new data sources, tools, and analytical methods to improve data accuracy and the value of insights provided.
- Lead initiatives to improve data literacy across the organization, fostering a culture of data-driven decision making.
- Performance Tracking
- Design and implement systems for tracking the performance of retail media campaigns, including sales uplift, customer engagement, and ROI.
- Analyze campaign performance data to identify successes, failures, and areas for improvement.
- Work with the marketing team to refine targeting and segmentation strategies based on performance data.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Regularly engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, share insights, and align data analysis activities with business objectives.
- Provide training and support to team members on data analysis tools and best practices, enhancing the overall analytical capability of the organization.
- Quality Assurance
- Implement rigorous quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data reports and analysis.
- Review and critique analyses and reports prepared by peers, providing constructive feedback to ensure high standards.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Appropriate education and/or experience may be substituted on an equivalent basis
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the retail or media industry.
Certificates: Certification in data analysis or analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong written and oral skills, ability to adapt internal and customer communications based on the audience.
- Strong project/resource management skills.
- Strong background in monitoring tools and applications for troubleshooting.
- Personal Computer proficiency in Business Applications.
