Job Description: Mold Technician/Maintenance Technician

MON-FRI , 40 HRS/WEEK

Basic Purpose:
Responsible for assuring that the plastic injection molding machines and mold set-ups are performed to specifications. Maintain equipment, vehicles, motors and all other items pertaining the operation of the business are maintained in a manner to keep the different items functioning properly.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Set-up molds in machines, components and all controls are set properly to make an A grade product.
• Be able to operate injection mold machines and adjust all controls to the correct parameters for the desired product.
• Constantly and consistently work in all areas of each department that the manager assigns you to and perform all tasks to the best of your ability.
• Will need to be diligent in revewiing and updating set-up sheets to keep the most current records for set-up.
• Work on machines, equipment, vehicles, motors and all-around operation or any other area you are assigned to in a manner that promotes efficiency and safety to all involved.
• Give suggestions to Manager that you notice need attention in any way.
• You will be performing preventative maintenance in order to promote longevity of the given item performing the work on.
• Diagnosing mechanical issues and correcting them.
• May perform other jobs as assigned.
• Ability to read and utilize technical manuals and drawings.
• You will need to be able and willing to work in an Industrial manufacturing plant environment including extended periods of time in noisy, non-air conditioned or unheated areas.

Physical Demands:
Medium Work: Exerting up to 75 lbs. of force occasionally and or up to 50 lbs. of force frequently and/or up to 25 lbs of force constantly to move objects. Medium work usually requires walking or standing to a significant degree.
Reaching- Extending the hands and arms.
Handling- Seizing, holding, grasping, turning or otherwise working with your hands.
Fingering- Working efficiently with fingers.

Machines, Tools and Equipment with may be used, but not all inclusive:
Injection Molding machine, Rubber Presses, Band saw, Punch press, Hand tools, Power tools, Forklift, router, saws, sanders, grinders, drills, welder, cutting torch, plasma cutter, bender, Dremel tool and many others.

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
