Key Accountabilities
Schedule and supervise maintenance work including assignment to applicable staff, to achieve the most efficient utilization of workers and equipment
Supervise the Greenskeeper positions and perform duties when necessary, as well as fill in for Golf Course Superintendent in their absence
Assist in planning and supervising of greens, tees and fairways, and layout of all construction on the course.
Report any activities or problems that occur on the course to the Superintendent, and participate in implementing corrective actions as necessary
Assist in administrative tasks including but not limited to: adhering to department budget; preparing maintenance reports; hire, train, and evaluate the work of the Greens department staff; Maintain payroll, staff and department records
General Requirements
Possession of a valid California driver’s license
CA Qualified Applicator Certification
Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience
Minimum 2 years work-related experience and/or training
Thorough knowledge of construction and maintenance of golf greens, tees, fairways, and various types of turf grasses used on the golf course.
Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership abilities
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
