We are currently looking for an Event Setup Crew Member to join our Cypress Grille team at Quail West!

Position summary: The main objective of the Event Setup Crew Member is to oversee the correct daily rooms set up, presenting clean event areas, setting up the required rooms for events, assist in putting products away in proper areas, and maintaining clean and organized storage areas.
- This position requires set-up and tear-down of events; must be able to be on feet for an extended period of time and frequently lift heavy items.
- This position requires the ability to organize and prioritize, be personable, responsible and willing to work in a team environment with an emphasis on great customer service. This position requires working nights, days, weekends and holidays.
- Pay rate: $17.00/hour.
- Schedule: will be discussed with manager.
- This is a full time position.

Job Tasks (Duties)
• Meet with Event Manager to determine their specific requirements for setting up banquet rooms.
• Ensure all details are recorded so that an estimate for services and supplies can be produced.
• Coordinate efforts of decorators, caterers and serving staff to help set up banquet rooms and halls.
• Assist in transporting heavy materials such as staging, tables and chairs to the banquet rooms.
• Receive materials and supplies from vendors and supplies and ensure that they are properly secured.
• Provide audio-visual services such as setting up equipment and instructing guests on appropriate use.
• Set supplies such as pens, pads and information packs on each table, in accordance to instructions provided by the management staff.
• Ascertain that cleanliness and maintenance of the banquet areas during and after each event.
• Maintaining clean and organized work areas.
• Ability to read and understand a BEO.
Requirements
Qualifications/Minimum Job Requirements
• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 1 year of banquet experience in a premier level private club or a hotel highly desired.
• The position requires initiative, creativity and self-motivation, as well as discipline.
• Ability to motivate others and manage human resources effectively with the responsibility to achieve established goals and objectives.
• Frequent bending, stooping, pulling, lifting.
• Continuous standing, walking, repetitive actions for extended periods of time.
• Heat sensitive environment.
• Must be able to exercise good judgment under pressure.
Salary : $17 - $500
