Project Manager - EDI Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join DCI’s team as a Project Manager specializing in customer Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) implementations. In this role, you will be responsible for driving successful EDI projects from inception to completion and will interface between our customers and company stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

1 . Project Management:

• Lead end-to-end project management for customer EDI implementations, from requirements gathering to post-implementation support.
• Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing regular updates on project status, addressing concerns, and managing expectations effectively.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are achieved on time and within budget.

2 . Business Analysis:

• Conduct thorough analysis of customer requirements and business processes to identify EDI integration needs and opportunities for optimization.
• Collaborate with customers to gather, document, and prioritize business requirements, ensuring alignment with EDI best practices and industry standards.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and EDI mapping specifications, facilitating smooth communication between business and technical teams.
• Analyze EDI transactions and workflows to identify areas for improvement, recommending solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

3 . EDI Implementation:

• Design and configure EDI solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of each customer, leveraging your expertise in EDI standards and communication protocols.
• Collaborate closely with internal development teams to customize EDI mappings, document trading partner agreements, and configure EDI translation software.
• Conduct thorough testing of EDI implementations, ensuring data integrity, compliance, and adherence to customer requirements.
• Provide hands-on support during go-live and post-implementation phases, resolving any technical issues or discrepancies to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and familiarity with project management tools/software (e.g., JIRA, Microsoft Project) preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of EDI standards and protocols, including ANSI X12, AS2, SFTP, etc.
• Experience in project management or business analysis roles, with a focus on EDI implementations.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to travel 5% - 10% to DCI branches and customers.
