Company: Qualcomm Incorporated Job Area: Information Technology Group, Information Technology Group > Systems Analysis General Summary We are looking for a seasoned technical and analytical individual, who will play a key role as an overall Systems Analyst of Enterprise Source Code Management and Integrated DevOps Systems. This position will be part of a Global Engineering IT organization supporting Qualcomm's next generation engineering innovations. This individual will be a part of team supporting Qualcomm Engineering Software design, development, test, integration, and release processes. An ideal candidate for this position should possess strong analytical skills and someone who can work on gathering requirements, high level design of new solutions for engineering needs, managing expectations, and aligning engineering and IT goals. This individual will regularly interact with peers in Engineering-IT and Engineering teams on workflows and services related to Source code Management, and DevOps Tools in a large-scale globally distributed, highly scalable engineering environment. We are looking for someone who has superb interpersonal and communication skills, given you would be working closely with stakeholders to understand, explain and define requirements, and collaborate with different teams to deliver scalable solutions. The ideal candidate will be one who leads by example and knows how to bring out the best in people. May lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues. Your ability to gather user requirements and translate them into meaningful specifications, work in an Agile development environment, ability to diagnose/address customer break/fix issues along with your desire to deliver solid solutions in a timely manner will serve you well in this position. Solid understanding and familiarity with following are desirable: Analyze, Design, Develop and Support Source Code Management platforms (Perforce, Gerrit, Gitlab, GitHub, Clearcase, DesignSync etc.) as well as Contemporary DevOps Tools and release systems used for Software and Hardware engineering Design process Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Well versed with Agile and SDLC processes Ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic environment Top notch verbal and written communication and presentation skills Skills in creating business requirements, engineering process flow diagrams Intellectual curiosity, positive attitude, flexibility, analytical ability, self-motivation, and team-oriented Experience or working knowledge of Semiconductor HW and SW Design process is preferable Strong computer science concepts Performs complex and business focused analysis, assists on complex issues related to requirements for production systems or applications, and collaborates with technical subject matter experts on issues. Provides guidance on methodology to be used for complex analytical processes. Work without noticeable direction and be a self-starter on assignments. Adapts to significant changes and setbacks in order to manage pressure and meet deadlines independently. Manages project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables with minimal supervision. Communicates with internal and external stakeholders efficiently, clearly, and accurately, in an open, respectful, and inclusive manner to provide status and information about impending obstacles to work and suggests remediation. Participates in and offers solutions during cross-functional meetings with team supervisors and leads. Collaborates with individuals inside and outside of own department or function to integrate projects and understand the vision to ensure changes work with other components of the existing or new applications and systems. Develops creative solutions to complex problems requiring the regular use of ingenuity and innovation. Develops plans to implement best solution. Ensures that methods and techniques used to obtain solutions are consistent with organizational objectives. Exercises considerable latitude in determining methods, objectives, and approaches to new assignments and may provide guidance to other personnel. Manages projects of medium to large size and complexity, performs tasks, and applies expertise in subject area to meet deadlines. Identifies test scenarios and/or cases, oversees test execution, and provides QA results to the business. Conducts detailed planning before committing to tasks and deadlines. Communicates and stays ahead of delays while developing effective solutions to meet deadlines. Creates and reviews functional and/or system specifications that meet business user requirements, often for medium to large size and complexity projects. Shifts focus in response to moderate changes in priorities and helps communicate priority changes to team. Gathers relevant information to ensure tasks are completed and expectations are met despite substantial setbacks. Prioritizes troubleshooting issues and consults with subject matter experts to troubleshoot complex production-related bugs. Substantial creativity is needed.
