Qualdoc has an exciting opportunity for a Direct Hire Floor Supervisor role with a local foundry. There are multiple roles available, depending upon the experience of the candidate: Melt Supervisor, Pattern Shop/ Core Supervisor, and Shipping - Finishing Supervisor.

MELT SUPERVISOR
The Melt Supervisor is responsible for production, production preparation and maintenance activities occurring in the Melt and Mold areas. The Melt Supervisor will utilize iron melting, furnace operation and preparation, iron pouring knowledge and furnace maintenance knowledge to achieve safety, quality and production goals in the Melt and Molding areas. The Melt Supervisor will utilize production scheduling tools, support and implement change and continuous improvement initiatives to improve the production systems, operations, and quality of the castings produced, customer satisfaction standards in general to meet safety, productivity and quality goals and specific targets.
PATTERN SHOP / CORE SUPERVISOR
Achieves production and quality objectives by executing production schedules, supporting and implementing changes, continuous improvement initiatives, supporting the production systems, operations, and customer satisfaction standards in general to meet productivity and quality goals and specific targets for the Pattern Shop and Core Room area.
SHIPPING-FINISHING SUPERVISOR
Coordinate and direct a team responsible for the finishing of castings to quality specifications, packaging of the product to customer specifications and shipment of product to those customers on time and at the lowest possible cost. Achieves production and quality objectives by executing production schedules, supporting and implementing changes, continuous improvement initiatives, supporting the production systems, operations, and customer satisfaction standards in general to meet productivity and quality goals and targets.
\n- High School degree or equivalent and five (5) plus years of demonstrated production floor leadership or an Associate’s degree in an industrial or manufacturing technology field, business management and two (2) years of production manufacturing experience.
- Advanced knowledge in the following areas: furnace operations, furnace charging, furnace repairs and cleaning techniques
- A working knowledge of all jobs in the foundry
- Microsoft Office computer applications
- Knowledge in Statistical Process Control (SPC)
- Knowledge of the Company’s ISO 9001 quality systems or equivalent.
- Knowledge of safe work practices and OSHA health and safety requirements
- Must be authorized to work in the US
- Salary range $60-80K annually, depending upon experience

- Annual Profit Sharing paid out monthly
- This is a clean foundry that is non climate-controlled.

- Shift availability for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift
