Job Description:
Oversees Quality Assurance and Control processes, providing support to other departments with diverse software platforms. Manages Quality Control (QC) personnel and department operations, collaborating closely with manufacturing staff, Shop Foremen, other Managers, and clients. Acts as the frontline representative during customer audits and resolves quality issues with customers and suppliers. Acquires proficiency in operating inspection software programs to aid all departments.

- Understands, adheres to, and enforces Company policies and procedures.
- Accurately reports time and job data entry for clocking in and out as required.
- Attends on-site training and safety classes for continuous improvement.
- Oversees all quality control processes and outputs, including Reviewing and controlling customer inspection and test plans. Effectively leading QC department operations and personnel. Delegating process functions such as first article and in-process inspections, gauge accuracy verification, and equipment calibration monitoring. Maintaining accurate inspection, calibration, and related records. Reviewing documentation during product receipt from external services and materials.
- Maintains AS9100 Rev D and ISO 9001-2015 Quality Management Systems.
- Learns and fully utilizes various software programs to support business objectives.
- Works with the Quoting department during the contract review process to ensure quality requirements are met.
- Conducts performance appraisals and corrective actions for all Quality personnel to identify training needs and foster career development while maintaining accountability.
- Addresses Quality issues with Top Management.
- Provides oversight of QMS conformity, ensuring processes deliver outputs.
- Reports QMS performance and opportunities for improvement.
- Promotes customer focus within the organization and ensures QMS integrity during changes.
- Leads and manages QC personnel, Quality Engineer, and CWI (Certified Weld Inspector).
- Ensures the Lead QC Inspector efficiently manages the day-to-day operations of the Inspection department to meet manufacturing needs.
- Ensures CWI meets objectives and maintains quality standards.
- Provides Managers with relevant, objective information on employee performance and product flow.
- U.S. citizenship is required, along with passing a background check and drug test.

- Ten or more years of manufacturing and/or machinist experience are required.
- Extremely proficient in CMM programming, Faro Arm, and other inspection software operations.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and apply Geometric Dimensions and Tolerances (GD&T).
- Proficiency in using precision hand-measuring instruments and inspection equipment.
- Familiarity with calibration techniques and software such as Microsoft Office and Global Shop ERP.
- Basic mathematical skills and ability to train others on inspection equipment usage.
- Varying levels of physical activity include sitting, standing, squatting, bending, lifting, pushing/pulling, reaching, and kneeling.
- Near and far visual acuity requirement of 20/20 with or without corrective lenses.
- Indoor climate-controlled shop environment.
- Safety glasses are required in production areas.
- Moderate to high noise levels.
