CNC Machine Operator (MM31805171128)

Our client, a locally owned and operated custom profile plastic extrusion company is looking to expand their team. This position is responsible for providing design assistance in a team-oriented environment for the purpose of developing and producing new tools, standardizing existing product lines, and supporting plastic manufacturing tooling needs.

Must have 2 years of Milling/CNC and Mastercam experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design, manufacture, and maintain plastic extrusion dies and downstream calibration tooling to support plastic extrusion manufacturing lines
• Design and manufacture secondary fabrication jigs and fixtures
• Perform milling, turning, drilling, de-burring and all bench operations
• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions
• Responsible for managing tool room operations, to include inventory and purchasing of consumable tooling; end mills, drills, raw materials, etc
• Ensure all documentation is timely, complete, and correct
• Must be willing to accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance with regard to machine operations
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition on a daily basis
• Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations
• Punctuality and regular attendance are required
• Perform other duties and assignments as required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Must have at least 2 years of experience operating various CNC machines; HAAS, Fadal, Fanuc, Charmilles Wire EDM, Lathes, Coventional Milling Machines
• Must have at least 2 years of experience programming in Mastercam and Solid Works
• Must be able to program from solid models and customer supplied drawings
• Must have good understanding of CNC operations, including G-code
• Must be able to use precision measuring tools
• Task-focused with attention-to-details
• Must be able to work as part of a team
