Continuous Improvement Leader

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate manufacturing processes for improvement opportunities
  • Train and coach CI tools and techniques
  • Facilitate focus meetings on plant floor
  • Collaborate with cross functional groups on problem solving
  • Create and maintain visual standards on plant floor
  • Create and maintain standardized work documents
  • Facilitate corporate kaizen events
  • Perform time studies
  • Create and maintain labor cost standards
  • Create and maintain production targets, collaborating with plant manager and director of manufacturing
  • Evaluate business processes for improvement opportunities
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills

  • Excellent communication skills, problem solving skills and ability to collaborate
  • Knowledge and experience with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement Concepts
  • Experience working in a union environment
  • Ability to work across multiple shifts if needed
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Ability to travel to domestic and international sites

Education

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Business Administration
