Teaching and Learning

  • Prepares lesson plans, current seating charts, and classroom procedures for substitute teachers.
  • Uses a variety of instructional methodologies and curriculum resources to present material in an interesting, stimulating, and effective manner.
  • Collaborates with the Special Education team to meet the needs of all students.
  • Identifies student's areas for improvement and create opportunities for improvement through interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Works with the Principal and Assistant Principal to ensure teaching methods are directed towards meeting and surpassing the standards.
  • Provides continual assessment and accurate tracking of student progress, maintains student work records and portfolios, and completes assigned paperwork in provided timeframes.
  • Conducts both student and teacher led parent conferences.
  • Consistently implements required and appropriate adaptations and modifications for English Learners, Special Education students, and 504 students.
  • Attends and participates in Student Success Team, Parent/Teacher Advisory Council, and other school-based meetings and activities as well as professional development training.
  • Assumes supervision duties as determined by the site and may occasionally be asked to substitute a period.

Additionally, experience in the following areas is helpful:

  • Experience teaching in an urban public school or charter school setting.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
  • At least two years of experience with a proven track-record of high achievement in the classroom

Minimum Requirements:

  • California Multiple subject Credential.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Work Location: In person
