Qualitest is looking for a Data Engineer onsite in Hercules, CA to join our team!
What you’ll be doing:
-Prototype, create, maintain, extend, and improve, and automate complex and flexible data-driven and data analysis tools used by the Research and Development groups in the U.S. and France as well as some production and support groups. Some of these tools already exist and use a combination of Microsoft Excel (complex workbooks with complex formulas and VBA code/macros), and cloud-hosted databases, Windows remote applications, and web applications/APIs.
- Work with end users, both in technical and functional roles, to gather requirements, develop solutions around them, and provide support as needed. This includes: Supporting the manufacturing/production and support teams to ensure their needs are met and that production doesn’t get negatively impacted.
- Interacting and communicating objectives, progress, and status of projects with all stakeholders including teams in Europe.
- Use software development tools and methodologies to maintain and improve good software development practices. This includes: Writing, maintaining, and extending software documentation used for validation, maintenance, and further development.
- Using software versioning tools like Git/GitHub and/or Azure DevOps.
- Learn and/or use Labware LIMS to support the migration and/or development of automated data analysis tools/solution in this platform. This will include: Working across multiple environments (development, QA, production) while respecting role and scope boundaries.
- Coordinating with IT and other internal teams the testing, promotion, and validation of developed solutions.
- Ensure the software solutions being planned and used satisfy the FDA and ISO regulations. This translates to: Ensuring IQ, OQ, PQs protocols are developed, executed, and satisfactorily validated.
