Position Summary:
- Responsible for the continuous improvement of processes and procedures in the office. Support payroll functions, inventory and label functions and all other duties as requested by Materials Planning Manager.
Job Duties:
- Follows the Quality Dairy Company Code of Excellence
- Support material planning department as required by the Materials Planning Manager
- Disperse various reports and documents to appropriate departments
- Log and forward wholesale purchase orders to the management team for completion and enter purchase orders into the system
- Support and manage the label system including formatting and printing of labels for wholesale and retail shifts
- Maintain retail delivery variance metric
- Assist in inventory maintenance, include counting, auditing and data input
- Manage and maintain records for employee hours in payroll system and forward data to appropriate departments
- Schedule outbound freight as appropriate
- Oversee vendor purchase order system and analyze for accuracy
- Keep work area clean and orderly
- Answer telephone, greet visitors, prepare and submit messages, sort and distribute mail, as required
- Back up office associates as necessary

- Represent the Bakery facility in a friendly, efficient manner, providing service as needed

- Ability to maintain systems to assure continuous improvement with a focus on quality, attention to detail, problem analysis and resolution
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Must be highly motivated, able to work independently and possess a strong desire to learn and improve
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds, stand, walk, bend, twist, climb, lift and pull repetitively
- Ability to use hands in a repetitive motion for prolonged periods of time
- Exposure to temperature and noise extremes
- Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize time and meet quality expectations
- Ability to remain flexible to cover weekends, holidays and a 7 day a week operation
- Ability to understand, follow and comply with safety procedures
- Strong commitment towards tasks completion
- Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely
- Strong organizational skills
Education/Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years basic office experience, preferred
- MS Word and Excel skills
- AS 400 knowledge, a plus
