Job Description:
The Billing Coordinator is responsible for the completion of all billing activities related to the agency through various electronic visit verification systems and across several payer sources including private pay clients, Arkansas Medicaid, and PASSE payers. The incumbent will clear scrubbed claims as they are billed by independent contractors and will work to investigate and resolve claims that are unbillable. The Billing Coordinator is also responsible for investigating and recouping denied claims when possible, completing payroll, addressing payroll questions, maintaining documentation on corrected claims, and working to improve overall electronic billing compliance of contracted workers.
Qualifications/Prerequisites:
- Has a minimum of one year of billing experience, preferably within the field of home care or direct experience with Arkansas Medicaid billing.
- Possesses and maintains good physical stamina and mental health; can present a pre-employment health clearance.
- Must be able to effectively collaborate and communicate withing a team framework while also being flexible enough to work with other to evenly distribute workload.
- Has excellent oral, written, and organizational skills.
- Can pass a background check and adult/child maltreatment check.
