What are the responsibilities and job description for the Press Operator position at Quality Tool Company?
Requirements:
- Must have Four years’ experience of operating automatic progressive dies.
- Must know general safety knowledge of press operations; including feeders, reels and straighteners.
- Must have set-up experience of at least 6 months with knowledge of feed settings and pilot release setting.
- Must be able to read micrometer, scale, dial calipers and general inspection equipment.
- Must have lift truck certification, knowledge of setting dies in presses with same.
- Must be able to take dies apart in presses and reassemble the same.
- Tools required (micrometer, calipers, scale).
- Must be able to perform general press maintenance.
- Must maintain quality standards.
- Must maintain good housekeeping practices.
- Press operator should be able to lift at least 50 lbs. and have the physical ability to start heavy gage coil straighteners and feed equipment.
- Must maintain Quality Tool Company production rates and requirements.
- Must follow rules and regulations as defined in the Employee Handbook.
- Must follow all safety guidelines while on company property.
- Must be able to maintain a positive attitude in a challenging environment.
- Must practice a high standard of a personal behavior that sets an example that employs a company-wide attitude of excellence.
- Any assigned responsibilities as deemed necessary by Management.

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
