Job Summary: This position is responsible for assisting with the installation, repair, modification, optimization, and acceptance test procedure efforts of various wireless and electrical equipment.
Primary Responsibilities:
Carry out installation, repair, modification, optimization, or acceptance test procedures of wireless infrastructures and electrical equipment while assisting in train others
Demonstrate procedures to assist iTech Foreman or project team as needed
Isolate hardware, software, and air interface malfunctions utilizing various test equipment on multiple products and technologies
Occasionally perform supervisory responsibilities in the absence of the Foreman
Maintain clean, orderly environment adhering to Company policies and industry regulations and standards
Assist in completing assigned tasks within project scope accurately and efficiently
Attend vendor and in-house training and participate in certification programs as necessary
Work effectively in a team environment
Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Education:
High School diploma or general education degree (GED); related trade school education preferred
Experience:
Four years of installation and integration experience across a broad array of wireless and wireline telecommunication technologies
Formal electronics training preferred
Technical Skills:
Working knowledge of cell site service monitors, RF test equipment, and T1 test equipment
Must have or ability obtain First Aid and CPR certification
Must possess or have the ability to obtain OSHA Construction 10 HR Safety Training Card
Must have or must have the ability obtain RF Radiation Safety & Awareness certification
Must have or must have the ability to obtain Competent Climber certification
Microsoft Office proficiency
Soft Skills:
Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions
Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently when required
Strong verbal communication skills
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing
Individuals must have a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets Company requirements
Must be in good physical condition with the ability to stoop, crawl, bend at the knees and waist, squat and lift 75 lbs; includes body weight, equipment, tools and boxes
Must be willing to travel up to 100% of the time
Position requires working outdoors in all types of weather
May be required to work long and unpredictable hours
