Lead Ramp Agents play a critical role in keeping passengers and aircraft moving safely and on time. As a Lead Ramp Agent, some of your responsibilities include:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensuresall Quantem and Customer's safety standards are met and maintained
- Maintain a safe working environment for subordinates
- Leads operations to organize the base in a manner free of hazardous situation
- As directed by the General Manager and/or Operations Supervisor, provide training for base employees
- Work with the General Manager/Operations Supervisor to maintain Quantem Customer Service standards
- Track and trace cargo, alert customers of new regulations, flight schedules, weight restrictions, and flight delays. Inform them of billing, suggest preferred routings, and assist with loading/unloading cargo
- Ensure that all flights that Quantem loads and/or unloads operate on time
- Respond to customer inquiries and requests in a timely manner
- Properly and safely loads and unloads freight. Including build up and break down of cargo pallets and freight containers following guidelines
- Holds equipment certifications and operates equipment safely. Must successfully complete all training classes
- Performs other duties assigned by Quantem management

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- 18 Years or older
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Valid US driver's license
- Pass all required pre-employment drug screening, background and clearance requirements, and successful completion of required badging process
- Ability to communicate in English
- AOSSP/MSP, FAA/TSA, dangerous goods, Air carrier Hazmat, SIDA, and Equipment Certification
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds in a safely manner individually or with other team members
- Climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and carry heavy items up and down jet way stairs
- Work outside in all weather
- Must be professional and alert at all times
- Must be able to keep all information confidential
