What are the responsibilities and job description for the Principal Enterprise Architect position at Quanterix?

As an Enterprise Architect, you are a senior consultant, providing strategic and technical leadership along with best practice recommendations through industry architecture frameworks, helping translate our Business and IT strategies into viable solutions. The person in this role will partner in design efforts with IT leadership to help plan, execute, and measure the strategy of the EA across the landscape of Quanterix. Additionally, this role will assist in evaluating new solutions as they are proposed/introduced to the environment, assessing the existing portfolio of applications and technologies as part of a continuous cycle of evaluation and rationalization.
What You’ll Do:
- Working in partnership with IT leadership and business stakeholders, provides insight and feedback into the entire IT landscape model and owns the development and maintenance of the business capability framework.
- Gathering and cataloguing information related to applications, technologies, and other elements of the enterprise landscape
- Act as a steward of the master inventory of applications, technologies, domains, and standards
- Working with key business stakeholders and data owners to help define and model the data shared across the enterprise and the relationships between those data.
- Establish guiding principles for Master Data Management, and partner closely with stakeholders to align data creation and consumption practices across the enterprise.
- Partnering with IT Business Partners, leads analysis of enterprise business capabilities, application of technology, and research market trends to determine potential impacts on the enterprise architecture and how they might affect business outcomes.
- Collaborates with IT Business Partners to establish capability roadmaps and anticipate future business and technology requirements.
- Collaborates with IT Leadership to ensure project planning and vendor selection is aligned to technology roadmap.
What We Expect From You:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent work experience)
- 8 years of experience in business capability/process design and/or a technical advisor capacity
- 5 years demonstrated experience in the definition and execution of Enterprise software projects
- Experience with implementing EA frameworks such as TOGAF, as well as with customizing to ensure a “right size” fit for an organization.
- Exhibits a high-level of professional flexibility, thought leadership, with strong ability to influence and guide innovative ideas.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, influence, and engage all levels of the organization.
- Exceptional ability to effectively communicate with technical and business colleagues and make complex ideas understood.
- Passion for understanding ambiguous, complex problems and driving high-quality, innovative solutions
- Demonstrated ability to juggle and prioritize multiple work streams while remaining calm and effective under pressure.
- Experience working in a regulated industry (Biotech, Healthcare, Finance) and familiarity with some of the major compliance and regulatory regimes preferred.
