To continue our extraordinary growth, we are hiring a Senior Production Planner located in Billerica, MA.
We are looking for a technically savvy, experienced and motivated candidate to join our Supply Chain team. This individual will be responsible for a variety of activities including ensuring on-time, in full delivery of products to customers and maintaining good internal communication to Manufacturing, Customer Service, and Strategic Marketing/Sales for production plan and safety stock strategy alignment. The incumbent will be responsible for driving a feasible Master Production Schedule in our ERP system (SyteLine); planning and coordinating activities among teams to ensure customers’ delivery satisfaction and maximizing consumables revenue.
What You’ll Do:
- Responsible for providing interface with customer service to ensure customer order verification within 24 hours after the order is released
- Responsible for achieving and maintaining specified MTS/MTO Back Order objectives, driving optimal order fulfillment levels
- Responsible for reagent production plan to ensure original customer order commitments and safety stock levels are achieved
- Responsible for balancing duties to ensure customer on-time deliveries and inventory optimization, work with factory manufacturing scheduler to ensure MPS is met while maintaining efficient factory loading and scheduling
- Understand and highlight capacity constraints and work collaboratively with manufacturing teams on resolution.
- Responsible for creating all job orders in ERP system to support the plan and verifying critical/long lead items are available.
- Lead planning and issuing of workorders for warehouse kits, responsible for associated OTIF and backorder.
- Maintain forecast module in ERP system to ensure all customer demands are covered
- Work with BU’s on the strategic safety stock strategy and conduct regular review process; maintain strategic inventory safety stock target in ERP system for supply chain to execute
- Analyze customer forecast, orders, APS, and inventory for S&OP meetings
- Understand overall Supply Chain constraints and coordinate activities to ensure all resources are exercised and escalated for solution if any supply gaps exist
- Contribute to inventory management process by supporting the cycle count program, and reviewing excess and obsolete, and expiring material to minimize scrap.
What We’ll Expect From You:
- BA/BS degree in Supply Chain Management or related field of study
- 3-5 years prior experience in materials management, or materials and production planning, preferably in the life sciences industry.
- cGMP Experience preferred
- ERP/MRP experience required with Syteline experience preferred
- Excellent organizational, record keeping and communication skill
- Demonstrated ability to work well within cross-functional teams as a team player
- Possess an ability to learn and master complicated concepts quickly and comfortably
- Ability to generate high quality data under tight deadlines, and a collaborative, proactive attitude
- Strong attention to detail
- Advanced computer and database skill, to include MS Excel & PowerPoint; daily user of Excel advanced tools
- Travel <5%
