Job Description

We are seeking a Calibration Field Service Planner Scheduler to join our Customer Support Team and play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of calibration services for our customers. This role requires meticulous planning, efficient scheduling, and effective communication with various stakeholders, including customers, field technicians, and management.

The Calibration Field Service Planner Scheduler plays a crucial role in ensuring that calibration services are delivered efficiently, on schedule, and with the highest level of customer satisfaction. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic field service environment.

As a CALIBRATION FIELD SERVICE PLANNER SCHEDULER, you report to the Customer Support Supervisor, and your job duties generally will entail the following:

  • Order Processing: Receive requests for service via web, email, and phone system. Document service request in our CRM Service Database. Provide the Customer with a quote and schedule availability. Follow up with Customer to confirm order and service dates.
  • Schedule Calibration Activities: Collaborate with customers and field service technicians to schedule calibration services based on customer requests, equipment availability, and technician availability. Create and maintain a master schedule for calibration activities.
  • Resource Allocation: Allocate appropriate resources, such as technicians and equipment, to each calibration job based on the requirements and complexity of the task. Optimize resource utilization to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  • Customer Coordination: Communicate with customers to understand their calibration needs, provide updates on service schedules, and address any concerns or issues that may arise. Maintain strong relationships with customers by delivering exceptional service and ensuring their satisfaction.
  • Technician Management: Assign calibration tasks to field service technicians, taking into account their skill sets, availability, and geographic proximity to the job site. Coordinate with technicians to provide them with detailed instructions, work orders, and any necessary documentation for each calibration assignment.
  • Problem Resolution: Act as a point of contact for troubleshooting and resolving any issues or challenges that may arise during the calibration process. Collaborate with technicians, customers, and other stakeholders to identify solutions and ensure timely resolution.
  • Continuous Improvement: Analyze scheduling and operational processes to identify opportunities for improvement in terms of efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction. Implement changes or propose enhancements to streamline workflows and optimize resource allocation.

Requirements

Experience: 3 to 6 years of experience in a customer service, scheduling, or field service role is highly desirable. Experience in calibration or a related technical field is a plus.

Teamwork and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of field service technicians, customer service representatives, and other stakeholders. Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with customers, ensuring their satisfaction and repeat business.

  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities in a dynamic field service environment.
  • Experience in scheduling, resource allocation, or field service coordination is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and service databases is advantageous.

Location: In-person work at our Blue Bell, PA Headquarters, Flexible Schedule, Remote Work is typically worked in 1-2 days per week depending on the dynamics of current scheduling activities and how much involvement may be needed with other technical service department managers.
