The Account Executive – Large Group position will be responsible for the sale of new fully insured and self-funded commercial business along with providing superior support service to employers and brokers partners related to new business sales, installation of accounts and other consultative and administrative support.

Responsibilities
- Manage the quote process for all assigned new business accounts from RFP through close of sale. Partner with consultants to build value-based solutions, create and present compelling sales strategies to meet broker and prospect needs and execute follow-through to win new business accounts to attain sales goals.
- Proactively initiate prospecting activities to general new leads and increase volume of new commercial sales opportunities. Manage assigned agencies to grow current blocks of business and partner with new agencies to build sales strategies to support growth.
- Develop effective business relationships with the organization’s brokers, agents, and consultants in order to meet or exceed new sales targets. Employ consultative sales skills to influence the decision-making process of existing accounts.
- Complete financial analyses as part of RFP (Request for Proposal) process to perform basic field underwriting and support internal risk assessment of prospects
- Implement new business accounts by managing the installation process, thoroughly completing new business paperwork, coordinating with other departments as needed and facilitating the warm transfer to assigned retention team when appropriate.
- Represent Quartz in at external events, such as industry-related networking events, corporate functions, charity sponsorships, business groups and/or community events to support brand and market awareness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business-related field with 5 years of sales/service experience
- OR Associate degree with 8 years of sales/service experience
- OR High school diploma/GED with 11 years of sales/service experience
- Sales experience in the health insurance industry is strongly preferred
- Effective communication and written skills, which include presentation and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of the healthcare industry
- Ability to provide superior levels of customer service
- Ability to effectively manage a large workload and competing priorities to maintain positive customer experience and build strong relationships; communicates with additional assistance is needed
- Strong working knowledge of PCs and related applications
- Understand how this role impacts Quartz’s customers (members, providers, agents, employers) and how to positively impact their experience
- Ability to travel to off-site meetings, as required
- Valid Life and Health Insurance License or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment
This position may work remotely but will be required to report to our office in Madison, WI, as needed. Hardware and equipment will be provided by the company, but candidates must have access to high-speed, non-satellite Internet to successfully work from home.
