What are the responsibilities and job description for the Executive Assistant position at Queens Centers For Progress?
Queens Centers for Progress, a person-centered agency providing services to adults and children with intellectual developmental disabilities, is seeking an Executive Assistant.
Hours: 8 Hour Shift; some evenings required.
DUTIES INCLUDE:
The Executive Assistant reports to the Executive Director.
The essential duties include:
1. Liaison to the Board of Directors including setting up Board Meetings, taking minutes, coordinating Board Committee meetings.
2. Supervise Front Desk staff, including ensuring coverage at all times, mail distribution.
3. Organize agency-wide system for the purchase of supplies. Maintain data bases, including agency-wide Incident Review, Van database, staff training data base, PPE purchasing and distribution.
4. Contact with NYC and NYS agencies for grants.
5. Works cooperatively with Development Department to help facilitate agency fund-raising events.
REQUIREMENTS: BA preferred. 3 year’s administrative experience. Strong organizational skills. Proficient in computer software applications. Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
