QUES, LLC was founded in 2016 to support the growing opportunities within the utility industry. QUES (Quality Utility Engineering Services) is led by high performing industry executives in electric, gas and telecommunications, with deep technical and operational leadership experience at the highest levels. QUES LLC is seeking a Project Manager for a major utility transmission rebuild project in the Baltimore Metropolitan region.
Project Manager Position
Individual will coordinate with 3rd Party construction team in the project management of a 115kV rebuild utility transmission construction project. Individual will participate in the preconstruction phase of assigned project, including attending design meetings and preliminary preconstruction and construction schedules. Fully understand contract scope and ensures subcontract scopes are fully aligned with the contract scope of work. Individual will be responsible for overall timely delivery of project on-time and on-budget. This position will also work and coordinate with a Sr. Project Manager. Maintain a positive working environment for the entire site team and instill a professionalism and integrity. Position will mainly require on-site project management.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Associate's Degree or Four (4)-year degree in an accredited in Construction Management, Engineering preferred or experience equivalent to a 4-year degree.
- Preferable progressive experience in Utility construction
- Firm understanding of project management, estimating, scheduling, budget/cost control, negotiation, field supervision, and financial reporting.
- Demonstrated organizational, leadership, analytical, and communication skills, including the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner, and to organize necessary resources, including people, materials, equipment, tools, and time to meet tight deadlines and achieve desired results.
- Ability to understand, interpret, and implement plans, specifications, and other contract documents.
- Ability to calmly and professionally resolve or escalate issues with clients, subcontractors, and other third parties in a timely manner.
- Knowledge of solicitation, negotiation, award, and management of subcontracts,
- Understanding of scheduling logic/constraints.
- Proficient with Utility or construction management software, including MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project, and other web-based or mobile document and project management solutions.
- PMP certification desired but not required
- Pass a drug-screen
- A good driving record
- Availability to work irregular hours, weekends, and holidays as needed
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
