The Senior Manager, Commercial Operations (contracting) will manage the commercial operations team supporting a national business-to-business sales organization (Workforce Health Solutions). Oversee all customer contracting, requests for proposal and sales support functions including service level agreements, customer reporting and implementation for direct customers, national health plans, third-party administrators, and resellers.
This position is based in Lenexa, KS.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the team that supports customer contracting, requests for proposal, service level agreements, client intake, and other associated customer interactions.
- Design, implement and manage sales operations processes including but not limited to contracting, proposals, reporting, and other customer success needs
- Work closely with sales, finance, and legal teams to finalize contracts, win new business, and support existing customers to enable the business to grow
- Ensuring contract and RFP tasks and due dates are met by key stakeholders
- Serve as a point of escalation for contracts and RFPs for team members as well as internal and external customers, facilitating communication and resolution with senior management and executive teams
- Draft, maintain and ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures for contracting and RFPs and other sales operations processes
- Facilitate change management with communication, training, and support for all sales operations processes
- Identify KPIs and metrics with associated reporting ensuring transparency and productivity
- Manage audits to ensure business compliance with policies and procedures
- Draft and negotiate strategic customer agreements collaborating closely with general counsel, with input from business stakeholders
- Draft and maintain contract templates with input from product, finance, and legal stakeholders
- Facilitate contract negotiation with customers and ongoing internal management of Service Level Agreements/Performance Guarantees
- Manage technical systems, including proposal software, signature software, and contract repository
- Oversee all proposal drafts and submissions to ensure strategic vision of the company and growth objectives
- Generate and interpret financial and customer reports
- Maintain product price books with support from finance and product subject matter exports to support customer implementation and accurate billing
- Administer price increases for customers
Required Work Experience:
- 7 years’ experience in people leadership, contract management, and operations with legal, finance, strategy, service, planning and executional components
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with management and executive team
Preferred Work Experience:
- Legal Operations
- Client management
Technical /Job Specific Knowledge:
- Ability to draft and critically review legal agreements and business terms
- Advanced negotiation skills
- Experience with proposal software
- Competency in Salesforce
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Technical competency required to manage sales operations tools
- Ability to write, interpret, and critique technical specifications and related documentation
Skills:

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree Required
Master’s Degree Preferred
