Essential Job Functions

  • Responsible for migrating data from various sources to a central repository.
  • Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
    • Data cleanup for migration
    • Import data and ensure data accuracy
    • Meet with clients or management to understand data migration requirements and needs
    • Strategize and plan an entire project, including moving the data and converting content as necessary, while considering risks and potential impacts
    • Audit existing data systems and deployments and identify errors or areas for improvement
    • Cleanse or translate data so that it can be effectively moved between systems, apps, or software.
    • Oversee the direct migration of data, which may require minor adjustments
    • Test the new system after the migration process as well as the resulting data to find errors and/or points of corruption
    • Document everything from the strategies used to the exact migration processes put in place—including documenting any fixes or adjustments
  • Technical Skills:
    • Hands on data migration experience
    • An advanced Microsoft Excel user
    • Ability to parse a .txt file into Excel and manipulate the data accordingly
    • Understanding of Relational Database design and ability to understand and write basic SQL
    • Ability to learn, problem solve, and troubleshoot independently
    • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a high-visibility fast-paced, fluid environment, managing multiple conflicting priorities. Must be comfortable with ambiguity and challenge and influencing teams without formal authority
    • Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills as well as strong verbal and written communication skills; highly motivated self-starter
    • SQL Server :
    • Experienced on how to code queries, procedures, functions and triggers to create data transformation and validation routines
    • Good Knowledge on how to track, tune and improve database performance, using indexes and SQL analysis tools
    • Basic knowledge of SSIS: (SQL Server Integration Services), be able to use it to migrate different sources of data (oracle, sap, excel, text files, etc) into SQL Server CREDO Staging Database.
    • Intermediate skills on VBScript, JAVA and C# Programing :
    • These languages are used in our non-SQL Server based source data transformation processes and also on loading, updating and maintaining our different environments, building testing data, training environments, etc.
    • Familiar with troubleshooting and debugging Java applications, know how to configure and setup Java environment (including Garbage Collector usage) to identify performance issues with the servers and web apps.
    • Basic Knowledge on APACHE Web Server: Able to install and configure JAVA based web server based tools, Configure HTTPS on non ISS servers.
    • Very Familiar with SAP GEMS and STRIPES platforms, their data structure for PM module
    • Basic knowledge on Equipment Strategy and Inspection Tools (mostly PESTRA and IDM3) and how that is integrated within Manufacture business.

Education: BS in Computer Science or Equivalent
  • Computing Environment
    • Coding Languages / frameworks:
    • VBScript
    • JAVA
    • C#
    • Infrastructure / Hosting / /Backlog Management etc.:
    • SQL Server
    • APACHE Web Server

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

  • Mostly Office Environments, Occasional Shop Floor involvement.
  • Substantial amounts of telephone and computer work.
  • Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.
  • Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.
  • Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 9 AM to 4 PM
  • Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.
  • Due to the nature of the work, all candidates must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
