Life Skills TrainerPay range for this position is $15.00/hour.About QuestQuest, Inc. empowers Central Floridians with developmental disabilities by offering opportunities to live, learn, work and play.BenefitsQuest provides medical, dental, prescription drug, flexible spending accounts, vision, 401K, PTO, life insurance and EAP.General Purpose of a Life Skills Trainer at Quest, Inc.:Responsible for the implementation of life skill classes and program activities to meet skill acquisition goals outlined in participant Support Plan goals.Essential Functions:· Lead classes in areas of skill acquisition including ADLs, self-care, money social/communication skills, computer skills and other training goals relating to skill development· Prepare lesson plans related to life skill classes and implement curriculums that align with participant Support Plan goals· Develop, monitor and report on skill acquisition progress as part of Support Plan process, including entering new goals into SP progress systems, writing progress notes, validating skills and continued evaluation of skill acquisition programs· Develop and maintain life skill class activity schedule in coordination with other members of management team· Train and monitor Skill Instructor implementation of life skill programs outside of classroom setting· Lead all client rights training including monitoring and recording to meet regulatory requirements· Maintain life skills budget including supply ordering and inventory· Coordinate with Behavioral Analysts on individual behavioral plan protocols in relation to skill acquisition programs and classroom learning· Serve as active participant of reactive procedures during behavioral crisis at facility as needed· Adhere to all Quest’s policies and procedures.· Perform all other duties as requested/required.Education/Experience Required:At least 2 years' experience in developing and implementing behavioral and/or training programs with individuals with developmental disabilities.Previous working experience utilizing computer training – Excel, Avatar, Access and other softwareEqual Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veterans
