Quest Integrity, a global leader in inspection and engineering services, is seeking a Finance Manager – Americas who will provide support across a variety of accounting areas. The Finance Manager – Americas is responsible for timely and successful monthly, quarterly and year end closing of the financial statements and financial analysis. They will have a good understanding of U.S. GAAP, a proven ability to identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies as well as have a desire to tackle new projects as they arise.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Responsible for month-end close functions across the Americas legal entities including the review of journal entries, reconciliations, supporting schedules and other analyses.
  • Assist in the preparation of month-end financial statements for parent company as well as internal managerial reports for respective business units.
  • Responsible for accounting judgements and provisioning while working with the relevant functions such as Commercial, Legal and Tax.
  • Responsible for the preparation and deliverability of all budgets and forecasts including validation / challenge of the accuracy of backlog, inputs from the Technical Assistants (“TA’s”) (SalesForce Data) and Operations. This will involve working with Operations and the TA to validate / challenge the information from SalesForce and assumptions included in the budget and forecasting.
  • Ensure forecasting accuracy and predictability through the rolling forecast vs monthly results process.
  • Assist with audit and statutory reporting.
  • Participate in cross-departmental projects.
  • Identify and document the impact of new programs or system changes on existing accounting processes/business unit processes.
  • Be a proactive team member and a resource for other accountants on the team.
  • Be a leader within the department.
  • Provide guidance and training by leading effective meetings with team and business partners.
  • Must be able to understand and document financial implications of transactions/process changes.
  • Proactively identify risks and areas of improvement and make recommendations.
  • Ad hoc projects and financial analysis to support key business decisions and projects.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • 10 years’ relevant accounting / business experience
  • Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA and/or experience with International companies preferred
  • 5 years of relevant accounting experience preferably within a public accounting firm
  • Good Systems experience – Preferably an ERP system, MAS 500 system a plus.
  • Have a strong working knowledge of US accounting concepts (US GAAP) and Sarbanes Oxley to improve operational efficiencies and maintain compliance with SOX
  • Able to perform complex analysis and reconciliations of diverse scope and to communicate technical information related to projects or accounting issues.
  • Ability to mine and manage large volumes of data
  • International Accounting and Taxation is a plus
  • Strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to balance various projects simultaneously, understanding prioritizations, with excellent attention to detail
  • Must be proficient in Excel and Word and able to learn new systems quickly
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a successful team
  • Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to work extended hours during peak periods
