Quick Quack Car Wash is a fast-growing company looking to add a CAD Drafter to our new in-house design team. We are looking for an energetic, creative, problem-solving person who thinks as an entrepreneur will contribute to a fun and team-oriented atmosphere. We are looking for an experienced AutoCAD / Revit Drafter to play a key role in helping to grow our new Design Department. Quick Quack has exciting plans for expansion. To achieve these goals, we’re building an all-new design department aimed at handling most of the Construction Document production for our new locations. This position will play a key role in this department’s growth and success and contribute to Quick Quack’s growth and success, as well!
This role will report directly to the Vice President of Development and will take daily direction from the Architectural Director, and is responsible for the timely and accurate execution of producing architectural drawings and revisions. Project management skills are required for success in this position, as well as the ability to interface with engineering, permits, production, and management on all levels, as well as complete due diligence for, research, development, and design of new plans.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
· HEAVY CAD file manipulation and production. You must be able to sit at a desk most of the day and produce a quality product that will help us in getting plans ready for submission to multiple different jurisdictions.
· Assemble Construction drawing sets based on the prototype format and design guidelines, while adapting to site-specific requirements.
· Generate quick “Test Fit” Site Plans based on Quick Quack’s prototype design guidelines and site-specific program requirements.
· Discuss project scope and expectations with Development team stakeholders to develop each individual project’s program for generating “Test Fit” site plans and permit packages.
· Drawing tasks will range from generating quick conceptual drawings to be presented to the Development Team for presentations to assembling fully developed construction documents to be submitted for building permits.
· Coordinate drawings with outside consultants.
· Draft and revise prototypical construction plans and details to adapt to and satisfy local jurisdictions’ codes and guidelines as well as comply with the I.R.C.
· Respond and revise drawings stemming from redlines from the city, county, or other jurisdictions in order to obtain building permits.
· Manage the status of plans in drafting or revision queues including ones that are outsourced.
· Provide Architectural Director with regular status updates, changes to schedules, and any changes that will impact other aspects of production output.
· Communicate and notify vendors and key stakeholders of changes to plans when they occur. Coordinate new plans with MEPS consultants as needed.
· Perform site feasibility for different project sites and locations as required.
· Ensure drafting style consistency between drawings for clear, concise drawings.
· Help establish naming and filing standards and protocols for electronic drawings in the new Design Department.
· Keep current and up to date on new and applicable software programs.
· Other duties as requested.

Requirements And Qualifications
· The successful candidate must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in drafting and in the preparation of architectural and/or engineering construction drawings with demonstrated success and quality.
· Proficiency in both AutoCAD AND Revit is required.
· Must be proficient with the full Microsoft Office suite, Bluebeam Revu, Adobe Acrobat, etc..
· Proficiency in Sketch-Up will be helpful.
· You should be able to run the AutoCAD “Auto Turn” program effectively.
· Have a knowledge of basic code and accessibility requirements.
· Proficient in reading and understanding Architectural, Civil & MEPS drawings.
· Must be highly organized, creative, thorough, detail-oriented, and focused on quality work.
· Good communication skills are needed. Must be able to interact effectively and cooperatively with key stakeholders and consultants at all levels.
· Must have the ability to manage multiple projects and be able to shift gears at a moment’s notice.
· Must have the ability to actively contribute to the design process and assist in problem-solving within a teamwork setting.
· Must be an innovator committed to creating better designs, and different ways to solve problems and improve processes.
· Knowledge of Navisworks or other 3D drawing conflict programs is a bonus.
· Site layout/planning experience and knowledge of codes are necessary.
· Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical and background check.
· Valid driver’s license required
