Overview
As a Corporate Communications Intern, you will work cross-functionally to support all internal communication efforts and support engagement initiatives.
Responsibilities
· Assist with day-to-day communication channels, including daily communication requests for email, campus TVs and internal newsletters.
· Work cross-functionally to support departments and teams across the organization with their communication efforts and plans.
· Support other Corp Comms forums and channels, including videos, quarterly Town Halls and quarterly Director Forums.
· Provide communication support for special projects and initiatives, as needed.
· Participate in committee meetings and efforts for company events, as needed.
· Assist with building out a central hub for all communications and initiatives (to serve as an interim intranet).
· Establish and maintain cross-functional relationships.
Qualifications
· Completed or working toward a college degree, preferably in a related field (e.g., English, Marketing/Communications, Advertising or Public Relations)
· Completed internship or related experience in marketing or communications is a plus.
· Possess excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
· Self-starter, good time management and creative, with ability to communicate in a professional manner.
· Ability to work well independently, and within a team.
· Commitment to continuous improvement and the organization’s mission.
Software Skills:
1. Skilled in Microsoft Office applications and platforms, including SharePoint, Publisher, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word.
2. Experience with internal communication software and tools is preferred.
3. Previous use of Adobe Suite products including InDesign and Photoshop is a plus.
4. Knowledge of graphic design is a plus.
5. Experience with video editing software or platforms is a plus.
