The historic Harwood House at Quinn's Hot Springs Resort is looking for a Host. The recipient of multiple awards on Distinctly Montana's 2022 list including Best Date Spot, Best Wine List, and a Finalist Best Fine Dining, we are definitely a desired dining destination! Consistently booked every single night, every night is Saturday night at Quinn's!
Our Mission at Quinn's Hot Springs Resort is HAPPINESS. Our Hosts play an integral role in helping us accomplish our Mission. This is done by providing timely support to our Servers, offering phenomenal customer service and being the first point of contact for our guests. This is a great opportunity for a seasoned host or a customer service pro looking to get a start in the restaurant/hospitality industry. This is a tipped position and successful Hosts often move into runner or serving roles.
Communication is the key to success in this role. Hosts interact with all guests and all staff. Making sure that you are always communicating with a positive, "how can I help" attitude is critical.
We currently have an opening for a PT evening host:
- Evening 3:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
- Days of work will vary
Candidates must be able to work all shifts per week and weekend/holiday availability is a must.
Tasks/Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Answering phones to take/change dinner reservations, answer guest questions, and communicate with other departments in the resort.
- Greeting guests quickly and pleasantly when they enter the restaurant.
- Utilize the software system to check the guest in for their reservation and identify their table.
- Escort guests to their table, communicate table arrival to appropriate Server.
- Ensuring tables are evenly distributed between Servers, always making sure Servers are aware of assigned tables.
- Gathering and communicating special information to Servers as needed i.e. celebration, food allergies, etc.
- Memorizing the floor/table layout in order to identify tables by their assigned number.
- Monitoring table status, assisting with clearing and table resetting as needed.
- Communicating with other support staff such as Runners and Servers to ensure guest needs are being met.
- Always follow all food safety and cleanliness rules and regulations.
- Candidates must take required certifications within established timeframe (Alcohol Training and Food Service Training).

Experience:
- Previous similar experience is a plus, can also be an entry level position.
Physical Requirements:
- Capable of being physically active for long periods of time.
- Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time.
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted.
- Ability to balance trays containing food and beverages.
- Ability to regularly bend, stoop, lean, and twist your body.
