In Finance, we work hand-in-hand with leaders across the company to ensure smooth, disciplined execution of business objectives. Our Finance team provides comprehensive financial insight into the business through functional business partnering, forecasting and budgets, and financial analyses.
We are looking for a Sr. Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis to work cross-functionally within the organization. This role requires continuously assessing the company’s financial performance as well as potential risks and investments.
You will be a strategic, financial and operational thought partner to the Finance team and most other functions within the organization. The position is centered around participating in cross-functional projects with various teams at quip, and enhancing the Finance function to support quip's continued growth across consumer, B2B businesses and additional business ventures.
This role reports into the VP of Finance & Accounting.
Base Salary: $130-$150,000
This range represents anticipated base salary range for this position, in addition to competitive benefits and equity (as applicable). We carefully assess and consider several factors with each candidate, including location, role-related knowledge, experience and skills. Compensation may vary based on these considerations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as lead Finance business partner to cross-functional teams (i.e. Marketing, Operations/Supply Chain, eCommerce) to support organization-wide decision making
- Lead channel-level business & financial analytics, and performance reporting to leadership on a bi-weekly cadence
- Own eCommerce and Subscription demand planning process and serve as Finance lead to internal S&OP process
- Oversee and improve on dynamic, scalable financial and operational models to support product development and launches, product pricing, and other key company initiatives and decision making
- Identify and provide recommendations and business cases for cost-saving opportunities across the company, specifically in our Operations/Supply Chain
- Partner with Operations and Supply Planning to forecast Inventory, Inbound Freight, Fulfillment, Product COGS, and Shipping costs, with the goal of increasing efficiencies
- Drive continuous improvement and simplification of processes & procedures across the Finance function and within the broader organization
- Support the team in holding functional teams accountable to budgets through expense management and reporting
- Assist in preparation of board of director materials
- Provide support on special, ad-hoc projects in a fast-paced, start-up environment
- Create a collaborative and supportive team environment
REQUIREMENTS
- 8 years of experience in mid to senior-level positions in finance, investment banking, private equity; experience at a high-growth startup is a plus
- Adaptable, organized, independent and open to wearing multiple hats within a dynamic start-up environment
- Comfortable working and communicating with all levels of the organization, including founders, senior executives and business partners
- An analytical mind and advanced knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting
- Outstanding communication, leadership and interpersonal skills
- BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a relevant field preferred
- CPA, CMA, or other relevant qualification desired, but not required
