Dispatcher – Sun Valley, CA
Job Overview:
Quixote Studios is one of the nation’s premier film and Television studio and is looking for a Dispatcher to join our team. The Dispatcher is tasked with the dispatching of calls for the Transportation Department to drivers covered under the collective bargaining agreement. They are to assign motor vehicles and drivers for the conveyance of freight or passengers. Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Dispatch union and non-union drivers according to the collective bargaining agreement.
- Collect intake paperwork for new off roster drivers (Lic.#, Med. Cert., etc.) and provide them information on our procedures.
- Collect drivers’ totals and receipts to close out jobs.
- Contact drivers for drug testing and provide Contract Services with any driver information they need to confirm.
- Provide updates on what registrations are due and ensure it is updated in our files for commercial assets.
- Provide updates on when BIT inspections are due for commercial assets and update files when inspection is completed.
- Keep the Company’s carb compliance accounts up to date.
- Monitors our facilities’ needs for compliance; file waste manifests.
- Track any repair work orders that pertain to DOT compliance to ensure everything is up to date and completed.
- Other job duties assigned.
Qualifications/Experience:
- 3-5 years of administration experience.
- Prior experience as a dispatcher preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with others under any type of condition.
- Excellent clerical and organizational skills to keep track of schedules, routes, and personnel.
- Excellent computer skills and demonstrated working knowledge of computers and software including MS Windows, Word, and Excel for scheduling and other dispatching duties.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm during rapidly changing circumstances.
- Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines at one time and work with a fluctuating and dynamic schedule and with little advance notice.
- Ability to follow Company policies and procedures while staying compliant with Collective Bargaining Agreements.

Compensation:
Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements and this role’s Collective Bargaining Agreement, the pay rate this position is $47.12 per hour.
