The Opportunity
Reporting to the Manger of Merchandise Planning, the Digital Off Air Planner is responsible to drive sales (Buy Anytime) and manage overall inventory via off air channels for their business categories. This includes the development, execution, and analysis of sales and inventory strategy for their assigned areas of responsibility. The Off-Air Planner is the link between the Merchandise Planning and Ecommerce teams. They are responsible for internal communication amongst the Merchandise Planning, Merchandising, and Ecommerce teams, as well as to influence business strategy/decision making of these teams to make positive impact on the Off Air business results. The Off-Air Planner is responsible to knowledge share observations and opportunities of the Off Air business with the On Air Merchandise Planning teams so that the total team can maximize sales opportunities for their categories.
Our Team
We are a small but mighty team of junior to senior digital planning talent! Leveraging our deep off air expertise we consult and collaborate with our buying and ecommerce market partners. We generally are in the West Chester corporate headquarters 1 day a week and work a hybrid schedule.
Your Impact
Analyze business for assigned categories to identify and communicate key Buy Anytime (BA)sales driver opportunities. Influence Merchandising and Merchandise Planning decision making to ensure an in stock position to meet or exceed category Buy Anytime plans
Collaborate with On Air Planner, Merchandising, and Ecommerce to identify and make recommendations on trends/opportunities within the current inventory assortment to drive Buy Anytime (BA) sales and manage inventory
Build promotions aligned with Merchandise Planning & Merchandising business priorities
Align off air promotions with on air programming to maintain consistency across platforms
Create off air specific promotions (Limited Time offers, Extended Assortment offers)
Develop strategy for pricing promotions (Easy Pay, S&H offers, special pricing )
Execution: Actively manage and execute the quarterly promotional and priority calendars for assigned categories
Manage distressed and non-distressed inventory thru the creation of promotional offers and placement recommendations
Identify, communicate, and coordinate preview items for events, emails, sitewide previews, and All Play features between the Merchandise Planning and Ecommerce teams
Perform Analysis of Promotional Offers in Category

Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work in a team environment
Problem solving and time management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite & windows based systems. Experience with Lotus Notes preferred
Bachelor’s degree in merchandising/marketing/online sales or equivalent business experience
3-5 years experience in planning/allocation, preferably in an online retail environment, or equivalent combination of training and experience required
