Collections Specialist

We are looking for a Collections Specialist to assist with the collection of Energy Services trade receivables aged past 30 days.

Responsibilities:

• Works delinquent accounts (aged past 30 days) for payment and/or payment arrangements for all Energy Services locations

• Acts as a liaison for RHF when discussing accounts with existing and potential customers.

• Research problem accounts for accurate resolution

• Follows up collections calls with appropriate written communication to the customer as well as in-house requirements

• Changes customer payment/delivery terms as needed

• Receives and posts payments and adjusts (credit and debit) accounts as necessary

• Communicates as needed with delivery location Office Manager

• Assists Corporate Credit Manager as requested with court calendar

• Adheres to best practices in credit as adopted by corporate credit guideline in daily credit functions

• Assists Corporate Credit Manager with company credit functions as needed

Qualifications:

• Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Working knowledge of accounting software; Contact Management systems; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

• Basic knowledge of collections laws with collection experience, bookkeeping/reconciling ability, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Credit Business Associate (CBA0) certification
