As an Energy Transition Analyst, you will be part of a new and growing team in North America, contributing to Rabobank’s global vision to become a leading Energy Transition bank. You will be responsible for providing a broad range of analytical and transaction support and work on deal teams for live transactions with a lot of senior management visibility. Tasks include preparation of marketing materials, financial modelling and credit analysis of client transactions, assessment of sustainability metrics, etc.

As an Energy Transition Analyst, you will be successful by working closely with the Relationship Management team and other internal partners, in order to close transactions in a manner that leaves clients thoroughly satisfied with our knowledge of their businesses and our responsiveness to their needs.
Rabobank’s Energy Transition team is focused on providing financial products and services to clients involved in the broader renewable energy and sustainability sectors, including solar, wind, batteries, energy efficiency, electronic vehicles and waste-to-value, among others. The Energy Transition Coverage team will look to bring all of Rabobank’s products and services to its renewable energy, public utilities, and equity investor clientele. The team’s goal is to support the decarbonization of the energy sector based on market knowledge and a client focused approach. In the 10-week summer internship program, you will join various deal teams, across both our Energy Transition team and our Project Finance team, and will play a critical role in technical due diligence, financial modeling, market research, and business opportunity development.

Salary Expectations:
Target Hiring Range: $49.50/hour
This position is subject to the terms of [RAF/Rabobank/RDS]’s compensation plans and policies. It is anticipated that the position will pay within the target hiring range. The range is reflective of the desired primary physical work location and may be adjusted outside of the projected range based on geographical differentiation if the actual work location of the hired candidate differs from the desired primary location, or for other lawful reasons. Further, all full-time regular positions include all other benefits provided to [RAF/Rabobank/RDS] employees, including healthcare benefits, 401k matching, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, possible discretionary bonuses and all other benefits that are all governed by and subject to ERISA plan documents and eligibility.

Job Responsibilities
- Actively working with deal team members to generate, structure, and execute energy transition and project finance transactions.
- Conducting financial and valuation analysis using accounting principles and corporate valuation methods
- Understanding key financing risks and recommending mitigants to alleviate such risks
- Creating and preparing marketing materials for internal stakeholder alignment and external business development
- Developing research products including assessment of corporate sustainability metrics, utility generation mixes, and white papers on new and emerging technologies in the energy transition ecosystem.
- Participating in client calls, managing internal legal and compliance requirements, and understanding the lifecycle of Energy Transition and Project Finance transactions.
