Description:
The Quality Technician is responsible for assessing performance and quality of Racemark’s Tier One Suppliers to ensure both customer and Racemark requirements are being maintained. Identify, analyze and document all defects and operational characteristics that are inconsistence with stated requirements and design specifications. Present a thorough understanding of Racemark’s Quality System with the ability to communicate those requirements to an auditor and to our suppliers.
Have the ability to work under minimal supervision; organized; focused and be self-motivated.
Main Objectives:
- Understanding of IATF 16949
- Working knowledge of Racemark’s manufacturing processes.
- Process non-conforming material includes processing hold tickets, return goods notices, non-conforming material reports and scrap product.
- Working knowledge of computer usage: Outlook, Excel and Word software applications.
- Responsible for ensuring all test and measurement equipment are calibrated as required.
- Ability to use test and measurement equipment.
- Basic understanding of statistical process controls.
- Perform inspections for incoming, in-process and final packaged goods.
Ø Perform taber test
Ø Follow curl test procedure
- Understanding of color interpretation and distinction.
- Ability to read and understand specifications and drawings for materials and products.
- Ability to understand and complete quality documentation.
Ø Completion of 1st piece inspection
Ø Performing pull test
Ø Perform Internal audits as needed
Ø Enter production scrap daily
Ø Issue quality alerts as needed
Qualifications:
- Must have experience working in a lean manufacturing environment.
- Must be strong with Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and Outlook.
- Strong in developing graphs, pie charts, SPC data.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and lift at least 50 LBS.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with other team members.
- Ability to multi-task & computer literate.
- Ability to read, write, speak English and understand basic math concepts.
