Job Description:
The License Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable state and local licensing and permitting requirements to guarantee licenses for new company-operated and contractor-operated stores and license renewals for existing company-operated and contractor-operated stores. The License Specialist also maintains proper licensure for the company’s various subsidiaries. This individual also possesses independent authority pursuant to company policy and approves documentation when permitted by applicable jurisdictional requirements. Additionally, the License Specialist partners with field and corporate personnel to assist with company initiatives, including but not limited to, answering questions, or providing advice regarding licensing issues.
Responsibilities:
- Supports Licensing team with record-keeping and other licensing functions for all RaceTrac and RaceWay stores.
- Ensures that certain licenses are timely and properly renewed by reviewing and verifying information provided in application submissions and tracking and monitoring status of multiple submissions.
- Downloads financial data from multiple ERP systems and provide financial reports to licensing jurisdictions for license fee calculation.
- Establishes effective communication with licensing agencies regarding different stages of licensing process, including store inspections, fire department false alarm inquiries, and other miscellaneous inquires.
- Supports OPS team with ad hoc requests such as providing current copies of licenses and any other licensing-related requests and inquiries.
- Ensures all RaceTrac and RaceWay stores have current copies of licenses in Service Now and maintains backup copies in Licensing Cloud Storage.
- Establishes effective rapport with outside consultants and attorneys.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Degree from an accredited college or university preferred
- Experience using Microsoft Office and Adobe required (this can be taught on the job and can be changed to preferred)
- 2 years professional licensing and/or lease administration experience preferred Project Management experience preferred
