Overview
Racker’s Counseling for School Success program seeks a social worker for a supervisory position within our dynamic, interdisciplinary team of mental health clinicians. We have worked collaboratively with TST BOCES for over 30 years to provide intensive, school-based Day Treatment services to support students with social-emotional and behavioral challenges. The Senior Clinician supervises a small group of clinicians and carries a reduced caseload.

This is an in-person, onsite position, partnering with school and mental health staff.
Salary starting at $60,000 - $70,000 depending on experience. Position is also eligible for Public School Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program!
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical supervision to three or more licensed therapists
- Carry reduced caseload (4-6 students) to provide individual, group and family therapy as well as case management.
- Provide crisis intervention support to students in need, when assigned therapist is not available
- Chair and attend program meetings as requested by the Program Director and the Director of Counseling for School Success
- Coordinate team consultation on clinical issues as needed.
- Coordinate, facilitate, and document treatment planning
- Collaborate with Program Director and Director of Counseling for School Success to address programmatic issues and staff development needs
- Provide orientation and mentoring to new staff
- Facilitate peer supervision groups
- Represent the program as requested by the Program Director and Director of Counseling for School Success
- Uphold standards of professionalism with regard to behavior and dress.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Director, the Director of Counseling for School Success, or the Executive Director
Qualifications
- Education/Certification: Master’s Degree in Social Work with LCSW licensure
- Skills/Abilities: Ability to provide effective mental health support to youth and their families and function as a member of a multidisciplinary team. Excellent oral, written and online communication skills. Demonstrated ability and progressive growth in provision of clinical supervision.
- Knowledge: Understanding of the needs of children with social, emotional and behavioral problems and their families. Understanding of clinical supervision perspectives and strategies. Understanding of trauma informed care and culturally responsive/anti-racist practice.
- Physical Requirements: ability to operate standard office equipment.
