Job Summary:
Rackner is looking for a Cloud Architect to join an existing team of DevOps Engineers and Cloud Architects who are building out reusable Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines, to be deployed in a large enterprise environment. The engineer should have experience using Terraform and AWS in order to contribute to this existing architecture.
Essential Functions:
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining AWS cloud architecture using Terraform
- Communicating these solutions in a professional way to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Collaborating with other engineers and members of the team using tools like git, in a secure, effective and scalable way
Minimum Education and/or Experience:
- B.S. in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent relevant work experience
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect is a plus
Requisite Skills/Abilities:
- Highly experienced with AWS
- Advanced networking, VPC, peering, and subnet experience
- Gitlab CI experience
- Terraform experience, including writing custom modules and collaboration at scale
- Top notch Linux skills
- SRE experience for a mid to large enterprise system
- General cloud architecture experience with Azure or GCP is a plus, but not required
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker a plus
- General DevOps Experience a plus
- Knowledge of SQL databases and basic coding skills in Java, Python, Go, C or a similar language are desirable, as is experience with microservices architectures
- Security framework experience (RMF, DISA STIG, CIS Benchmarks, etc) are nice to have
- Software Engineering background is nice to have
