About the role
Radar is looking for a Controller to help build out our internal financial operations. You’ll ensure we have best-in-class accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance to scale our organization.
We’re transitioning from an early-stage to a growth-stage startup and looking for someone eager to build a new standard for Finance within an enterprise SaaS business. As our first Controller, you’ll get the chance to shape our Accounting function and directly contribute to the financial health, integrity, and success of our company.
You will report to our CFO. This is a NYC-based position located at our headquarters in Union Square. You'll be working from our New York office Monday-Thursday with the opportunity to WFH on Fridays.
For candidates based in the United States, the base salary range for this full-time position is between $175,000 - $225,000/year with the opportunity for performance bonuses and incentives.

What you’ll do:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting and financial operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to relevant accounting principles and standards
- Hire, manage, and mentor a lean accounting team
- Manage the company’s month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, and all related financial reporting and reviews
- Lead the company’s second-annual audit, owning all audit deliverables and up-leveling the company’s financial standards
- Own the ERP migration from Xero to NetSuite (or a comparable solution), including data mapping, integration, and system configuration
- Audit and optimize our accounting tech stack
- Partner with the CFO on financial projections, forecasting, and budgeting, and proactively identify financial risks, areas of improvement, and growth opportunities
- Manage all equity-related accounting activities such as tracking options and valuations, as required under GAAP
- Ensure compliance with sales and use tax regulations, including calculations, reporting, and sales tax liabilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with outside accounting firms and vendors, and support negotiations for vendor contracts
You should have:
- 10 years of accounting experience, including 3 years of experience in audit and 4 years of experience at a B2B SaaS company
- A combination of Big Four experience and enterprise SaaS experience, strongly preferred
- Bachelor’s & Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA designation
- A track record of building and scaling finance and accounting operations
- Proven ability to hire, manage, and mentor a high-performing team
- Previous experience managing an ERP migration, with strong proficiency in NetSuite
- High-level understanding of tax, sales tax, and income tax reporting and compliance
- Strong technical accounting acumen and well-versed in revenue recognition principles (ASC 606, ASC 842, GAAP)
- Experience with international consolidations, a plus
- Solid project management skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
