PROJECT DETAILS
1.1. Since October 2010, the U.S. House of Representatives (House) has been using PeopleSoft Financials as its production financials application with the following modules: General Ledger, Commitment Control, Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable/Billing, and Asset Management. Currently the House is using version 9.2, tools 8.56. The House uses Appsian ADFS plugin for single sign-on functionality for PeopleSoft. PeopleSoft is also integrated with cloud applications such as Oracle EPM and Coupa.
1.2. In addition to normal production support activities such as adding new reports and enhancements, PeopleSoft Financials application patches may be applied to the application during the timeframe of this task order. Several other projects may also be underway: PeopleTools 8.61 upgrade, STAT 6.3 upgrade, RedHat 9 upgrade and PeopleSoft upgrade to image 51.
1.3. The House is seeking a Server/Database Administrator to support the House's ERP PeopleSoft Financials application. The Server/Database Administrator will work on migrating PeopleSoft application and web tier from Solaris to Linux, this includes designing and sizing the architecture. The Server/Database Administrator will act as a system administrator and will assist with production support, administer, configure, monitor, document, analyze, and troubleshoot the PeopleSoft architecture including software, servers, databases, and related third-party tools. In addition, the Server/Database Administrator will assist with projects related to PeopleSoft, including integration activities with other applications. The Server/Database Administrator will assist the PeopleSoft support staff, working directly with the other database and system administrators, developers, and the functional teams.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES 4.1. Support the House's ERP PeopleSoft Financials production and test/dev environments, as well as the continued design, development, enhancement, build, migration, patch, and test activities. Prepare for and build new instances and perform refreshes and upgrades, 4.2. Administer, configure, monitor, document, analyze, and troubleshoot the PeopleSoft architecture including software, servers, databases, and related third-party tools. Assist with evaluating additional functionality and tools and using current functionality and tools in other ways to increase the benefits of the application for the House, and 4.3. Support the team's ongoing activities such as the PeopleTools upgrade to 8.61, STAT upgrade to 6.3, Linux upgrade to RedHat 9, Oracle Database upgrade to 23c and PeopleSoft image 51 upgrade. 6. SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS 6.1. Knowledge and experience supporting the following as a system administrator: Oracle 19c, PeopleSoft Financials 9.2, and tools 8.60/8.61. 6.2. Strong background in installation, configuration and administration of PeopleSoft 9.2 in Linux. 6.3. Knowledge and experience installing, patching, upgrading Appsian SSO product. 6.4. Knowledge and experience patching and upgrading PeopleSoft Financials and PeopleTools. 6.5. Note: Knowledge and experience with the following is a plus, but not required: 6.5.1. PeopleSoft Financials modules: General Ledger, Commitment Control, Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable/Billing, and Asset Management, Contract Management. 6.5.2. Oracle Enterprise Manager 6.5.3. Using Stat, version control and change management software, to migrate change between PeopleSoft instances 6.5.4. Integrating PeopleSoft with Okta security Suite. 6.5.5. Integrating PeopleSoft with Oracle EPM. 6.5.6. Oracle Database 23c 6.5.7. PeopleSoft installation on RedHat Enterprise Linux.
