Job Title: Inventory Clerk
Job Description: Inventory Control Specialist Specific duties include:
- Manage all incoming receipts (inventory and non-inventory) –
o Ensure quality of incoming receipts
o Accurately process receipt paperwork per the Purchase Order information doing a 3-way match with pack slip, ERP system and product information.
o Complete receipts in the EPR and Non-Inventory system
o Review MRP for demand on incoming items and issue to in- process jobs as needed.
o Work closely with Buyer/Planner on any inaccurate, quantity discrepancy and/or damage resolution
o Label and physically locate inventory items in proper locations
- Pull parts for production jobs and issue parts in the ERP system; help resolve any shortages. Update the Mfg. Schedule and Open Item Reports related to pull and issue status.
- Complete inventory transactions in the ERP System, including all needed ECO design change inventory transactions.
- Conduct daily production inventory cycle count program, including timely investigations and resolutions as needed.
- Complete misc. daily shipping needs for the site – i.e. RMA’s.
- Reorder and maintain needed inventory control, receiving and shipping supplies.
- Timely coordinate with the off-site cleaning part vendor to support the Mfg. Schedule.
- Process incoming DMR’s by receiving PO as needed, notifying QA, closing DMR jobs, labeling and locating items.
- Support Customer Service demand by opening jobs, pulling parts, kitting items and closing jobs.
- Relocate items and consolidate locations/parts as needed to support space optimization.
- Support inventory control recommendations on slow moving and/or obsolete inventory, stocking levels, storage and/or replenishment policies.
- Support of inventory and warehouse improvement initiatives.
- Support and follow all organizational safety training and policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Additional Skills: Required knowledge, skills and experience include:
- 2-5 years - experience in a manufacturing inventory environment or related position preferred.
- Associate Degree in Accounting, Business, Logistics or Supply Chain Management or related field is desired.
- APICS Certification is a plus.
- Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and MRP-based manufacturing methods and techniques; computer experience required.
- Knowledge of inventory control best practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc).
- Strong ability to multi-task.
- Organized, yet flexible; able to prioritize workload.
- Must have the ability to think and act independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative as well as teamwork.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and vendors.
- Ability to lift 35 lbs.
- Able to stand and move around in a warehouse and manufacturing environment.
- Use of basic warehouse equipment – dolly, pallet jack, rolling stairs, etc.
