Radical Cosmetics is hiring for compounder/pre weight tech. Job requires a set amount of orders to be produced on a daily basis, it is a full time position (Monday through Friday 8am to 4pm) you must be available to work overtime Monday through Friday and work on Saturdays. This position handles liquids, oils, powders and colors. This is not an office position, it is a fast paced environment that requires standing on your feet all day.
Description
- Operate department equipment to properly blend chemicals in a precise manner to desired product
- Verify age and quality of all materials used in a formula.
- Ensure understanding of all safety, quality and operational procedures, in order to utilize tools, equipment, electronic/computer systems in compounding.
- Ensure understanding of Quality Control requirements for sampling and product testing.
- Ensure safe operation of drum handling equipment.
- Maintain work area in a clean and neat manner and in accordance with GMP.
- Ensure the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment at all times.
- Must be able to lift up to 50Lbs
- Must be available to work Monday through Friday 8am – 4pm
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Prior experience handling chemicals (preferred not required)
- Knowledge of compounding and an understanding of special formula instructions (Preferred not required)
- 1-3 years of compounding experience.
- Equipment operator experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of G.M.P’s (Good Manufacturing Practices) (Preferred not required)
- A Compounder must be able to pay strict attention to detail since the job requires monitoring equipment, controlling temperatures, and checking for overall consistency in mixes.
- A Compounder must follow standard instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to measure or weigh dyes, raw materials, and other substances into the mixing equipment.
- A Compounder is required to take samples of the batches and turn them over to a laboratory for testing.
- A Compounder is also tasked with filling out paperwork about the compound batches.
Job Responsibilities
- Weigh multiple ingredients, chemicals or drugs to ensure they are portioned correctly and meet safe usage requirements.
- Organize and prepare items carefully to be measured.
- Record weight, chemical composition and supply of each item accurately, quickly and clearly, taking care not to make mistakes or cause misunderstandings.
- Report when a certain item is depleted and investigate the reason, making recommendations for how it can be prevented.
- Keep work area clean, organized, remove trash during and before leaving each day.
- Assist in batch making, kettle/department cleaning when necessary.
- Manage inventory, make note of low supply and rotate items as necessary for the entire inventory to be accessible. Example: buckets, bags.
- Fill out order forms for restocking on a monthly basis, ensuring that all necessary items are fully stocked at all times. Example buckets, bags.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 per hour
