GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Works collaboratively with members of the Clinical Applications support team, supporting clinical applications and related systems for all Divisions within the Organization. Works collaboratively with the Teleradiology Applications Support team to ensure hospital and outside facility workflows and process requirements are met. Works closely, as directed by Clinical Applications Support Manager and/or the Director, Clinical Informatics & Project Management, with the Information Technology department for all operational and project tasks related to all clinical applications and systems upgrades, changes, implementations, and management. This position is accountable for all aspects of clinical applications such as PACS, RIS, and dictation, and all related clinical applications systems, including day-to-day support and integration and operation within the Clinical Informatics and Information Technology infrastructure and standards. This open position is non-remote and based in Palm Coast, FL.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to Director, Clinical Informatics

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Responsible for level I support, administration, and maintenance of clinical applications and related systems, integrations, and connectivity. Escalates complex problems to level II Clinical Applications Support team members when available to troubleshoot to engage vendors or outside parties when necessary.

  • Works closely with Clinical Applications Support team to ensure timely and complete capture of DICOM and HL7 transmissions into related systems, reporting any issues to level II, or level III or Clinical Applications Support Manager, when needed, for vendor or outside support when necessary.
  • Responsible for providing input on processes related to system integrity, image and data availability and overall system support, and design/management of backup/maintenance plan for all related clinical systems in day-to-day operations.
  • Assists level II Clinical Applications Support in daily and routine management of for all clinical applications including PACS, RIS, dictation, and related clinical systems for all Divisions across the organization.
  • May be assigned responsibility of assisting in training of radiologists and other staff in the use of new systems, applications and upgrades, in partnership with the Clinical Training and Development Manager.

EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent. Additional IT/computer or clinical certifications are helpful but not required.

EXPERIENCE: Prior work experience in clinical/healthcare environment preferred, but not required (Radiology background highly desirable).

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Excellent phone skills with ability to multi-task.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Basic typing.
  • Skill in computer analysis.
  • Skill in following a project management plan.
  • Skill in use of IT/help desk ticketing system.
  • Experience with MS Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Highly collaborative mindset and excellent relationship-building skills in regards to the healthcare and marketing industry.
  • Knowledge of Radiology workflows, specifically (preferred).
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations for imaging equipment (preferred).

PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS: Prolonged periods of standing and/or sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Work may require hand dexterity for operation of office machines. Mobility to complete errands. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed in an office and/or remote work environment. Position may involve contact with staff and the public. Work may be stressful at times. Occasional evening and weekend work.
